WHY VCA: I have loved working with kids and families for many years and have heard great stories about Venture Christian Academy. I wanted to be a part of a community like this one that wholeheartedly embraces the vision of growing kids in their faith while lovingly supporting their academic growth as well.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: I have more than 20 years of experience working in Children’s Ministry and nearly 10 years working in local schools both public and private. Over these years I have participated in many academic and spiritual trainings including 2 separate year long cohorts at both Fuller and Western Seminary. One such cohort was called Sticky Faith and explored the ways we can support faith development in our kids that will help it to “stick” into their adult years. These experiences and education have served to grow my passion for walking alongside kids and families as they seek to grow in their walk with the Lord.

HOBBIES: I love the outdoors so hiking and photography top my list of favorite things to do. I also love travel, reading and gardening.

INTERESTING FACTS: My husband and I met on an island, got married and had our first child there. It was a beautiful place in the Pacific Northwest and although we moved (back) here when our daughter was only 1 year old, both of our kids chose to go to college up there and our son and his wife live there now as well.
