Make a Difference in a Student's Life
The difference between a good school and a great school can often be attributed to its parent volunteers. With parent participation in school functions, all members of the community benefit. Opportunities to get involved in your child’s education exist both inside the classroom and at all school events.
Requirements
Hours
VCA is currently not requiring hours of volunteer service per family.
Fingerprinting
For the protection of all concerned, VCA requires every volunteer working directly with students to be fingerprinted and submit to a Live Scan test conducted by the DOJ and FBI. We are committed to safety, not judgment. Any information obtained will be kept strictly confidential.
Drivers License / Insurance
All drivers for field trips and athletic events must submit a copy of their driver license and insurance information, which will be kept on file in the school office. Proof of insurance must include the declarations page, showing that the minimum coverage requirement ($100,000/$300,000) has been met.
Opportunities
In addition to classroom volunteering opportunities, many important all school events require the help of dedicated parent volunteers. Areas of involvement include Enrichment Aide, Lunch Duty, Moms in Prayer, Jog-A-Thon, Staff Appreciation Week, Yearbook Photographer, and many more!
