A Middle School Culture Built on Kindness, Mentorship, and Respect
Middle school can be a difficult social season. Many parents worry about bullying, peer pressure, unhealthy competition, or their child simply getting lost in the crowd. But at Venture Christian Academy, students are taught to approach one another with patience, kindness, gentleness, and respect. Those values are reinforced in classrooms, mentorship groups, chapel, athletics, and everyday interactions between students and teachers.
That culture becomes visible in small moments that leave a lasting impression. When new students visit campus, student ambassadors introduce themselves first and help new students feel included. During a study trip to Washington, D.C., hotel staff and tour guides repeatedly commented on how gracious and attentive VCA students were throughout the week. Students arrived to volunteer as buddies at an all-abilities field day and helped finish setting up.
Teachers also invest deeply in relationships with students outside the classroom. Faculty members lead small mentorship groups where students talk openly as they grow through middle school together. Teachers often attend games, write personal notes to students, eat lunch with them, and create opportunities for connection that extend far beyond academics.

INTERESTING FACTS
I have been married for over 28 years. It’s gone by fast! We are blessed with two children who enrich our lives and make us laugh. I’m proud to say they are both graduates of VCA! Our doggo, Buddy, still dominates our conversations at home and takes up a huge chunk of our hearts.
A Safe Environment for Learning and Growth
The campus is designed with multiple layers of security, including locked entrances, keycard access, visitor background checks through SchoolPass, security cameras throughout the campus, and a full-time armed security guard who monitors the school throughout the day.
Just as importantly, students learn in an environment where healthy relationships are actively cultivated. At VCA, we don’t try to solve every problem; rather, we equip students with the communication skills to solve problems in a socially appropriate manner.
